ICE FISHING REPORT
Ice Fishing is still going strong on our local lakes Canyon Ferry, Hebgen, Holter and Hauser… Every lake in the state has great reports of ice with the recent cold snap. We fished Canyon Ferry Lake last Friday and did ok with around 18 Perch for the day and 3 walleyes. The perch has been pretty hit or miss and you have to be on the move constantly. The right tackle is a must as they are starting to get picky. The Walleye bite has been great every night an hour before dark right up to about seven o’clock. There are still great reports of trout hitting at the south end of the lake and over on Hauser Lake. If you are interested in taking an ice excursion with us there is still time. This is a great opportunity to learn the lake with us and the tackle setups we use. We are heading out in the jet boat later this week and we will give you a report. Feel free to give me a call for a trip, tackle or any recent report. (406) 459-5352
